Swegon Gold RXHC Range
A solution with energy and simplicity in mind.
Any occupied space requires the correct quantity of outside air to displace any stale air and create a fresh environment.
By utilizing heat pump technology and heat recovery, Swegon’s fresh air systems provides a cost-effective and energy efficient way of installing a 100% fresh air system with a balanced extract.

Description of Operation
A common problem with the control of fresh air is the variance in the external temperature and problems associated with the use of direct expansion as the cooling/heating medium. With the advanced control function of the Gold RX/HC units, inverter compressors, regulation of the thermal wheel and patented defrost system, Swegon have developed the perfect packaged solution.
Summer / Cooling Mode
Fresh air enters the unit passing through the thermal wheel, which transfers cooling energy from the room return air, the air then passes across the supply air coil where the low temperature refrigerant reduces the supply air temperature to an adjustable value. At the same time the room air passes first through the thermal wheel to maximise heat recovery, and then the heat exchanger, discharging the unwanted heat to atmosphere.

Winter / Heating Mode
Fresh air enters the unit passing through the thermal wheel, which transfers heating energy from the room return air, the air then passes across the supply air coil where the high temperature refrigerant increases the supply air temperature to an adjustable value. At the same time the room air passes first through the thermal wheel to maximise heat recover, and then the heat exchanger, discharging the unwanted cold air to atmosphere.
Free Cooling Mode
When there is a cooling demand from the room, but the external air temperature is lower than the room temperature, then cooling is activated without the use of the refrigerant cycle and the speed of the thermal wheel is regulated to maintain the supply air temperature.
